A standard industrial unit is the fabrication site of a Radiological Exposure or Dispersal Device (RED or RDD). Mobile Detect field equipment, installed on nearby traffic signal pole, briefly detects unexpected levels of radiation and sends real-time notification to authorities. A Colorado Springs Police Force vehicle, with Mobile Detect field equipment installed, is deployed and investigates the nearby industrial plaza. While driving through the parking lot, the Police determine and verify the industrial unit emitting radiation. Investigation is monitored by Police in the vehicle, and remotely at US NorthCom facility in real-time. |
