Scenario:
In response to phoned-in threat of a Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD), Kansas State Police search for the RDD with police vehicles equipped with Mobile Detect radiological sensor equipment. The Mobile Detect Radiological Surveillance System is used to establish background radiation, monitor safe perimeter, detour and evacuation routes, and provide escort for non-sensor equipped 1st Responders. The Mobile Detect mobile equipment is also available to provide live data in coordination with plume modelers for ‘ground truth’ pre- and post-plume drift assessment.
