Mobile Detect has installed the Airport RadWatch system at the Ottawa International Airport. This system provides layered radiological security for the entire airport without interfering with passenger, luggage, and cargo throughput and traffic patterns.
A covert network of Detection Units and Radiological Sensors are statically deployed throughout the facility, installed in official vehicles, and carried by security personnel. Radiation measurements are collected every second, coupled with location information and reported the RadWatch Server via wired network or wirelessly.
Once stored, the data undergoes a real-time threat analysis which includes differentiating threat agents from medical outpatients. In response to an identified threat, the RadWatch Server automatically sends Alarms to pre-identified security personnel. Situational awareness is graphically presented to RadWatch Manager users in real-time. System design allows for full integration with existing and new SOPs and CONOPS.
